BluTag Hybrid functions like BluTag Active except it generates immediate event notifications only for inclusion zone violations and tampers. It stores all remaining monitoring data, including violations and battery condition, in its onboard memory until (a) the enrollee charges the battery, (b) a violation occurs or (c) the supervising agent/officer initiates a Location Request when logged into VeriTracks.

A Location Request occurs when the supervising agent/officer logs into VeriTracks to determine the immediate location of a specific enrollee, regardless of the last time the BluTag device transmitted monitoring data. Only BluTag Active and BluTag Hybrid can provide the immediate location of an enrollee.

BluTag Hybrid transmits monitoring data to VeriTracks using nationwide digital cellular phone networks. It can be paired with BluHome when the geographical area in which enrollees live and/or work has insufficient cellular phone network coverage. Pairing BluTag Hybrid with BluBox provides additional confirmation of an enrollee's presence in a designated location. Click on the BluHome and BluBox links to the left for more information.
