Steve Logan is the Chief Executive Officer and one of the founding executives of Satellite Tracking of People LLC. Mr. Logan possesses more than 25 years of executive, financial and operations experience in outsourcing and service related industries. The last 15 years have been focused exclusively in the corrections industry.
Mr. Logan's commitment to the corrections industry began in 1993 when he became one of the founding executives of Cornell Companies, Inc. He helped grow Cornell from three employees and no revenues into a New York Stock Exchange-listed company with 4,000 employees located throughout 69 locations in 13 states and Washington, D.C. and generating approximately $300 million in annual revenues. Progressing through all financial, development, operational and executive roles of the Company, Mr. Logan oversaw and directed Cornell's diversification into community corrections/alternatives-to-incarceration, juvenile justice and the prison and jail corrections sectors.
In 1999 at the age of 39, Mr. Logan became one of the youngest Chairman and CEO's of a significant New York Stock Exchange-listed company. Mr. Logan raised more than $700 million during his tenure at Cornell, providing the solid financial backing and foundation needed to meet the growing correctional needs of its customers.
Mr. Logan helped start and served as the founding president of the worldwide Association of Private Correctional and Treatment Organizations (APCTO). Mr. Logan has provided expert testimony to various congressional and legislative bodies on the benefits of alternatives-to-incarceration and various other correctional issues. His live television interviews on the corrections industry included MSNBC, CNBC, C-SPAN, CNN and local TV, radio and print.
Mr. Logan is a 1984 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Accounting (B.B.A.).
