Brian S. Moran

Vice President of Operations

 

Brian Moran is the Vice President of Operations and a founding executive of Satellite Tracking of People LLC. Mr. Moran possesses more than 20 years of system development and operations management experience.

 

In 2000 Mr. Moran joined General Dynamics, formerly Veridian, as the program manager for VeriTracks. He led the initial development work creating the VeriTracks product for General Dynamics. He is one of the inventors of Patent 6703,936, System and Method for Tracking Movement of Individuals. In 2002, Mr. Moran was appointed Director of the VeriTracks product line when General Dynamics brought the program into its own business area.

 

As the director of the VeriTracks product, Mr. Moran was responsible for the business line's profit and loss, developing strategic alliances and business acquisitions. He was also responsible for managing technical developments for VeriTracks and the operations and sales teams. As a product line director he has unique insight into the offender tracking market place and new developments in tracking technology including GPS and other personal tracking solutions.

 

Mr. Moran and the VeriTracks development team were awarded Arlington, Virginia's "Innovator of the Year" Award for developing VeriTracks. Mr. Moran has been featured in numerous publications covering business, technology and GPS tracking, including an issue of the Washington Business Journal's "Tech People" column. He provides expert testimony to various congressional and legislative bodies on the benefits of offender monitoring and Crime Scene Correlation.

 

Prior to working on the VeriTracks product, Mr. Moran developed technology solutions for a wide range of clients, including Fortune 500 companies and federal and state agencies. Mr. Moran was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy serving as the communications officer of the U.S. Sixth Fleet Flag Ship. He was responsible for all shipboard communications including satellite, HF, and UHF communications. He was also part of a team that developed the first shipboard LAN.
